What is the study mode of the programs?
The degree programs at Monarch Business School are primarily designed to address the needs and demands of the working professional. As such the degrees have been designed to be completed remotely. There is no obligation for the student to physically attend the university except during scheduled symposium for doctoral students and for the defense of their thesis/dissertation. Students enrolled within programs that require a thesis defense are required to do so at the University at the completion of their studies. Thesis defense typically requires a 1 day visit to the university. Programs may be completed via three separate modes, being the following. You may read more on the study modes here.

Are there any residency requirements within the Doctoral program?
There are no obligatory long-term residency requirements within the doctoral programs at Monarch Business School Switzerland. This is in order to make the programs as accessible as possible for working professionals who can not be expected to leave their work positions for extended periods of time. However, the Doctoral programs do make use of short-stay symposiums (approximately 5 days) scheduled semi-annually in Switzerland (September) and (May). Students are encouraged to attend these symposiums in order to interact with fellow students, faculty and the administration and to review materials that will assist them in preparation and completion of the program.
What are the fees or cost of study?
All programs follow a standard fee schedule as shown on the ;Tuition Fee Information Page. Students from developing countries are eligible for the Dean’s Scholarship which provides a 20% fee reduction. Tuition fees are paid in advance on a quarterly or semi-annual basis and are nonrefundable.
What is the duration of the programs?
Master programs are based on 24 month duration. Doctoral programs have a 36 month standard duration. Post-doctoral students must be registered for a minimum of 18 months.
Are the degrees accredited?
UGSM-Monarch Business School has entered the accreditation process with ECBE-The European Council of Business Eduction located in Switzerland. UGSM-Monarch Business School holds important memberships in the following accreditation organizations and is committed to obtaining accreditation status with several organizations.
Are the degrees registered and validated by a local authority?
Students may request upon graduation that the diploma and transcript of the program of study be registered by a Swiss notary in order to provide validation. Moreover, the degrees may also be registered and validated in others languages being: French, German or Italian.
Can I obtain a Scholarship to study from Monarch Business School?
UGSM-Monarch Business School Switzerland has created the Dean’s Scholarship for students from OECD developing countries. The Dean’s Scholarship provides a 20% reduction off the standard tuition fees. The Dean’s scholarship is only available under the Remote/International study mode. Applicants should note that UGSM-Monarch Business School is a private university and does not receive financial support from government agencies and as such it can not offer financial assistance beyond the “Dean Scholarship” available at this time. Students requiring full scholarships must take advantage of local or national scholarship programs available within their own countries. Monarch Business School does not provide assistance for students in seeking scholarship information.
Can I follow Doctoral Studies With Only a Bachelors Degree?
Yes! The Doctor of Management program is specifically designed for practicing managers that may only have an undergraduate level degree but who otherwise have at least 5 to 10 years of professional management experience. These candidates may also complete a “Master-in-Passing” during the doctoral program in order to achieve the M.Mgmt. degree. Bachelor graduates from honor programs may also apply directly into the Doctoral programs.
How do I apply for admission and what is the process?
Interested candidates should submit the online application form with supporting documentation. Once the application form and supporting documents have been received by the university they are sent to the Office of the Dean of the Faculty for evaluation/acceptance. Candidates should expect to receive a response from the Office of the Dean of the Faculty within 10 days of the submission of the completed application and all supporting documents.
